One of my favourite hostels! The Deane Residence has a homely feel and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless and they provide fresh towels and soap for each guest. The owner is full of advice and interesting stories.

Spending Christmas in this hostel was great fun, there was a very social atmosphere and I met some amazing fellow travelers. The hostel offers a shared kitchen, which was useful as we cooked a Christmas dinner together. The supermarket nearby is large and had everything we needed. The location was also perfect with easy access to many attractions.

The fan in the room was not powerful enough to handle the tropical heat, making it difficult to sleep. This was a let-down as it was my first time spending Christmas away from home, and I wanted to be well-rested for the festivities.

Friendly staff, beautiful rooftop, calm location, and helpful hosts. The hotel was perfect for relaxation and had all the necessary facilities. The hotel is located in a really nice neighbourhood and is near to the center of the city. The hotel's staff offered me a nice cup of tea while I enjoyed the stunning rooftop view. They were kind enough to provide my partner with rice when she was feeling unwell. the staff were incredibly thoughtful and made us feel like family.

Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

the owners were very accommodating and allowed us to store our luggage after our check-out time. the rooftop had an amazing view that we could enjoy during our stay. Another advantage was the convenience of having a nearby supermarket that was within walking distance.

the biggest issue was the distance of the residence to downtown.

Our family with kids thoroughly enjoyed the warm and comfortable atmosphere of this residence. the location was convenient, with various restaurants nearby and a grocery store within a 2-minute walk. We felt safe walking on the nearby streets at night. the hosts were helpful and friendly, with breakfast that tasted delicious. We enjoyed the awesome rooftop terrace that offered a scenic view.

The bathroom could have been cleaner.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! the location was perfect for exploring the city. It was conveniently close to a major supermarket and train station, making it easy to get around. Additionally, I really appreciated the attention to detail and value for money. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing all the basic amenities I needed. The rooftop balcony was the star attraction for me, offering stunning views of the city and a peaceful place to unwind after a long day of exploring.

No negatives to mention, everything was just perfect!
